Classroom Workshop Presenter Opportunities

Do you have a passion for science and a love of children? If so, consider joining SiS's presenter team! Our Classroom Workshop Presenter position is a contract position that is a unique blend of volunteer service and part-time paid classroom presenting. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have:

  • A post-secondary education in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, education (especially Kindergarten) or early childhood education
  • An ability to communicate a passion for science to a young audience
  • A strong sense of volunteerism

You will be expected to:

  • Learn one or more workshop topics based on your background and experience
  • Deliver an agreed-upon number of half-day, hands-on workshops in the classroom
  • Make a volunteer commitment to build your workshop kit and participate in our training program
  • Have your own transportation

You can expect to:

  • Receive remuneration for your classroom visits
  • Work 1 - 3 days per week during the school year, based on your availability
  • Have flexibility in arranging your own work schedule
  • Be self-employed
