It's the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All and to celebrate Scientists in School is issuing this energy-themed Kidz Lab Challenge: Use solar energy to create a yummy pizza.
The 2012 Kidz Lab Challenge is easy to implement in your classroom. Suitable for individual students, groups, or as a full class project, the Kidz Lab Challenge provides an opportunity to learn more about sustainable energy while having fun. And the best part - your students could win one of four awesome prizes.
To participate in the Kidz Lab Challenge, build a solar oven, create an original pizza recipe, and use solar power to cook it. Tell Scientists in School about your yummy experiment for your chance to win.
This year's Kidz Lab Challenge is brought to you with the support of Energizer, an innovative consumer products company that is committed to energy sustainability. Energizer markets a number of solar powered devices and is partnering with other technology companies to accelerate adoption of renewable energy through solar power installations. Scientists in School is honoured to partner with Energizer on this challenge. Now that's positive energy!
